Poem: Standing Still

Standing still,
Feeling the raindrops fall on my face.
Sadness spills.
I say some grace.

God show me your will.
Show me your ways.
God make this all okay.

Holding on bravely.
Letting the winds blow around me.
All becomes cloudy.
I fall to my knees.

Saying God help me please.
Help me see clearly.
Put me at ease.

Sitting quietly,
Watching the rainbow.
The wind becomes calmly.
And I say with a glow.

Lord thank you for holding my hand when I was walking blindly.
Your love and ways are all I ever need to know.

Poem: The Way Life Rolls

You may feel like you don’t belong,
Might believe you shouldn’t be.
You may think all has gone wrong.
But you’re here so it’s meant to be.

And you may hate where you’re coming from,
But that’s the past so leave it dear.
You may feel like the world owes you sum,
But if you live like that, it will owe you none.

Life is like a beating drum,
It beats high and it beats low.
You may hate the way things go.
But that’s the way life likes to flow.

You can feel the way you feel.
But days are wasted when you’re wasted.
You may think your heart can’t heal.
Feel like all the pain is pasted.

And you may think you were dealt a bad deal,
But let’s just face it,
Your blinded and can’t see what’s real.
Life has wit, but you can’t deal.

Life is like a beating drum,
It beats high and it beats low.
You may hate the way things go.
But that’s the way life likes to flow.

You may think you know it all.
But in this life there are always things that we don’t know.
Life is like a bouncing ball.
You just don’t know where it all will fall.

You may feel like you always crawl.
But, that’s where we got to start to grow real tall.
But all good things start real small.
So you can hate it all right now.
But in the end you’ll be shown.

Life is like a beating drum,
It beats high and it beats low.
You may hate the way things go.
But that’s the way life likes to flow.
All you can do is go the way life rolls.

Poem: Better Man

A life of lies only makes you cry.
Why can’t you tell the truth?
Some may buy your sly disguise.
But it’s in the eyes I see your truth.
You may think your one wise guy.
But that won’t keep you flying high.

So I pray for you.
Pray your skies go grey to blue.
I believe there is good  in you.

Go ahead enjoy your games.
But don’t be blaming others.
If you do you’ll start a flame.
And need advice from another.
But that won’t make the fire tame.
You’ll need forgiveness from your brothers.
But they will say…

We will pray for you.
Pray your skies go grey to blue.
We believe there is good in you.

After that it’s up to you to change your wicked ways.
Hopefully you’ll learn someday it’s the truth that sets you free.
And not your fibbing ways.
I pray you’ll be a better man someday.
The one your meant to be.

Poem: Break away

You stay where you only feel safe.
That is not your fate.
You were meant for something great.

Break away, break away, break away from this state.
Do not let fear keep you hiding, hiding away.

Reach out your hands and pray.
Believe there is a different way.
And soon the sun will shine today.

You scared of taking risks.
No need to fear for everything that is dear will always be near.
So face your fears and all will come your way.
Today is your day.

Break away, break away, break away from this state.
Do not let fear keep you hiding, hiding away.

Chances come and chances go.
Take a chance, learn, and grow.
It is the only way to let life flow.

Break away, break away, break away from this state.
Do not let fear keep you hiding, hiding away.

Today is your day to break away, break away.
Today is the day you see your true fate.
God will not let you loose your way.
Say good-bye to what you know.
And hello to everything your about to be shown.

Poem: The Stabbing Sword

If she could look you in the face again,
She’d tell you love has no end.
Your’s left a mark and made her sing.

It forced her to open up and extend.
You spoke in words she’d never heard.
Opened up her eyes to everything.

Now she soars high as bird,
She weathers all storms like never before.
A new strength inside of her has formed.
You were her cure, the stabbing sword.

Poem: Ready to Let Go

I wanna close my eyes,
And never look back.
I wanna let go,
Rest in peace wherever that's at.
I don't wanna go slow.
I wanna go fast.
I'm barely hanging on.
Please just sing me a song.
I wanna fall asleep.
And peacefully go laying in your arms.
I am sorry, but I fought as long and as far as I could go.
I love you all I hope you know.
Only God knows why it goes the way it goes.
