Homemade Wound Solution for Cleaning Cuts and Scrapes Gently

When you get a cut or scrape the best thing to do is wash it out with warm soapy water, but sometimes the soap can really sting and burn. Instead, a gentler solution is to make and use a homemade wound wash that doesn't sting or burn.

Ingredients Needed

The ingredients you will need to make the wash are two cups of saline solution and a cup of aloe juice. These ingredients are useful for cleaning wounds because they can kill harmful bacteria that can cause infections. The ingredients also help wash away dirt and blood gently while promoting skin healing. You can find these ingredients in any health food and drugstore in your local area. The ingredients are pretty affordable to buy and you can make as much of the homemade wound cleaning solution as you need.

Creating the Solution

The way you make the wound cleansing solution for cuts and scrapes is by pouring the ingredients directly into a sterile squeezable bottle or spray bottle. The squeezable bottle is great for squeezing the solution directly onto an open wound to help gently cleanse it out. The spray bottle is excellent for cleaning and spraying down small scrapes on hands and knee. Once you have pour the ingredients into the sterile bottle, you can give the bottle a good shake to combine all the ingredients together to get a slightly cloudy wound cleaning solution to use straight away.

Cleansing the Wound

The way you would use the wound cleaning solution for cuts and scrapes is pretty simple. If you have your solution in the squeezable bottle, you would squeeze the solution directly onto the open wound for 10 seconds. After, you would take a cotton pad and pat the wound dry. Never rub a wound because it can open it up more and make it worse. Next, you will simply apply a first aid cream to the wound and cover it up nicely with a bandage.

If you were going to use the spray bottle with the solution in it, you would simply spray the wound down with 10 squirts of the solution, pat the wound dry, apply the first aid cream and gently place a bandage over the wound. You can use the solution up to 4 times a day to keep the wound clean, but you shouldn't need to clean the wound out to many times unless you are getting it dirty often.

End Notes

Now next time you get a cut or scrape make sure you have some of the homemade wound cleansing solution already made up so you can  use it right away for washing wounds out. You can store the solution right inside you refrigerator to help it last a long time. I do hope this helps some of you clean up your wounds without the stinging and burning sensations of soap and water. I wish you all the best with getting those wounds healed up.
