As a parent you hear the phrase, “I need money!” often from your teenager. You either A, end up giving it to them, or B, telling them you do not have any to give at the moment right?
Instead of doing A or B why not make them earn their cash by helping out around the house earning an allowance or helping them find a part-time job that helps them earn a bit of extra cash to spend shopping and dinning out at the pizza joint with their friends.
If you are wondering what kinds of jobs are available for teens, check out the list below. Heck, look it over with your teens to help them get an idea about what is out in the real world for work now days.
#1 Babysitting
The first job I would suggest for a teenager is Babysitting. A job like this will teach them to be responsible for someone else besides himself or herself. This is a great learning experience for them since it teaches the young adults how interact and take care of children of all ages. The pay for babysitting is not that bad either and it is usually a flexible easygoing job you are Teen can have fun doing.
#2 Walking Dogs
The second best job for a teenager is walking dogs for people in the community. This gets the Teen out of the house, getting fresh air, and making money. It will teach them the responsibility of having to care for a pet and a being that cannot care for themselves without the help of humans. Many people now days are looking for dog walkers and sitters for their pets while they go on vacations, or short business trips. Most of these pet sitting jobs pay pretty well and are somewhat flexible.

Next, job recommended for teens would be a Paper Route. Paper Routes are very easy and all your Teen would need to do is ride his or her bike around the neighborhood and deliver the News Paper each day at a certain time, to a certain place. This for sure will give them extra cash to have a blast out with their friends, or purchase what they would like too.
#4 Yard Work
Yard work is another job that is simple for teens. If your Teen is looking for quick cash this is the way to go. Many people in the community, especially the elderly or business workers are looking for someone to mow their lawns, water flowers, rake leaves, weed gardens, and the list goes on. All your Teen would need to do is show up on time and complete the task give, and most people will pay your Teenager right after the have completed all their hard work.
#5 House Sitting
The Fifth job to do would be, House Sitting for those crazy people who are always going on vacation. Believe me, there are many people out there wanting someone to go in and check on their house while there away on vacation. Usually it requires you to walk around and make sure everything is working right, and nothing is broken inside the house. Its may even require some light dusting and cleaning. The pay for this is incredible. People will pay ridiculous money to have someone go in and check their home out! Your Teen cannot go wrong with a job like that.
#6 Washing Cars
Washing cars on weekends is an excellent job. Yes, that is right! Have them get their friends together on the weekend and have a car wash in your yard, school parking lot or at a church. They can charge five dollars a car wash, and still make a reasonable amount of money to spend, and have fun with their friends. It is not that hard to do all it requires is a bucket, a hose, a sponge, some soap, and hands to wash the cars! This is for sure a great way for some simple weekend cash.
#7 Simply Reading Emails and Completing Surveys Online
A fantastic at home job for teens is to work online for companies like Inbox Dollar, Support Sending Earnings, Fusion Cash and Cash Crate. These sites will pay your teen to take surveys online on things they like to do. They will also pay them to read emails, books and watch movie reviews. Some sites will pay them for referring their friends too. All your teen would need for this job is a computer and an hour each day. Pretty simple to do and the rewards of doing this are endless. They will not only earn cash, but they will earn gift cards to places they enjoy going too. This is an awesome opportunity for your teenager and it teaches them computer and entrepreneur skills.
#8 Working at the Library
Working at a Library stacking, organizing and checking out books is a nice easy job for earning cash during the week after school for a couple of hours. Most Library's are hiring during school season because they are so busy checking out books constantly. The pay there is decent and the hours your teen would get are between 10 to 15 hours a week, which is a good start for them to be working at. A job like this will get them to interact with different people and may even teach them some customer service skills.
