Earning a Living from Home

Eight years ago, I began earning money online through various websites. Today, as the economy grows weaker and people loose their jobs in the public I am asked, “Is it possible to earn money online?” The answer that simple, yet complex question is yes.

I say it is a simple question to answer because earning money online is possible, but earning money online can be very difficult as well. It has not always been an easy road for me, but it has been a convenient one because I am able to work from home and take breaks when I need too. However, planning a regular schedule and having a quiet place to work in the home is very important to help you keep structure and actually earn the money you need too like you would in the outside world.

Without structure, you would only make the kind of cash that helps you buy little things that you need, or a dinner out with a love one. I call it, “Play around Cash.” I use it for filling the car up with gas, buying stamps, getting a haircut, those types of things.

To earn an income online to help sustain having a car, a roof over your head and food on the table you have to work hard with the websites I am able to give you to earn money, but with hard work, there is definitely a pay off that can occur.

Ways to Actually Earn Money Online

Let me start by saying there are endless ways to earn money online. The ones I am going to mentioned are the ones I use and actually earn money with on a daily basis. With this information, you can decide what online job maybe the best fit for you.

Freelance Artist

When I first began making money online I started with the skills I had, which was painting beautiful children’s artwork. I was a freelance artist and had to use various online art websites to sell my paintings and prints on. The first site I ever used and actually earned money on was YabbleBabble.com, but unfortunately, they closed their website many years ago.

Since then, I have finally found the time to post my paintings on Redbubble. Here they turn your original painting into prints, tee shirts, post cards, greeting cards and calendars, which people can purchase and you can earn commission on. However, promoting your website is essential in order to earn an income. I promote through my website at EMHerbals.

I have also sold paintings on Ebay.com well, but you have to keep the price of the paintings reasonable. I never sold a painting above $100.00, but earning money online by selling artwork on Ebay is possible.

Freelance Writing

The second way I earn money is through freelance writing. I have several Blogs on Blogger, over 2,000 articles that I have written posted on Yahoo Contributor Network, several on ResourceCan and websites on Weebly. I also work for freelance companies online such as Helium, Interact Media, Textbroker and Bubblews.

I have been writing for over eight years and the income you earn per year varies too. The most I have ever made in a month from writing is $600.00. You have to have a lot of patience, be willing to research, and write about topics you have never written before and this is especially true if you are writing for a client. If you are writing for your blog or a website that is open to all kinds of articles, write what you know best. It is much easier to write a well-rounded article when you write about what you know.

It is also important to know you will not generate a lot of income at the start of your freelance writing career. You have to create portfolios and apply to different freelancing jobs. Sometimes grammar test will need to be taken and sample content pieces will need to be submitted to companies first before you can even begin writing on their websites. Once you get your foot in the door at any of the freelancing websites I have just mentioned, writing articles and earning money is possible.

If you just want to skip all the testing, and just write and earn Bubblews, Yahoo Contributor Network and Helium are probably your best freelancing websites to join first. Even blogging on Blogger will be your best bet.

However, if your blogging the only way you can actually earn an income is by using advertisement and affiliates with your blogs. My favorite companies to use are Chitika and Infolinks. They are the sites that help you generate and income, but you have to post many blogs and draw in lots of visitors, but it is possible to do.

Earning Money through My Online Savings Accounts

The coolest way I earn money online is through my online Capital One 360 Savings Account. Most of the money I make online is paid through Paypal. You will definitely want to have a Paypal account in order to receive any kind of online payment from Websites you are working for, but just make sure you fill out all the proper tax forms with all the various websites you are earning an income from by working.

You will probably also need a checking account or savings account to transfer the money you have in your Paypal account in too. Opening a checking account or savings account is easy. Just find the bank that works best for you.

However, most of the money I make now and earn through Paypal through the various websites I work for, I transfer into my saving account, which earns interest and additional earnings from referrals. I also like that the account is secure, easy to use and free to set up with no additional money needed to open up the account. Best of all, I can deposit checks I receive in the mail from other companies I work for right into the savings account.

In addition, I can set saving goals up with my Capital One 360 Account, which I really love because saving money has always been a problem for me. Now saving money is super easy and the money I save adds up fast along with additional earnings.

Earning Money with Surveys and Reading Emails

Some other ways I earn money is through paid surveys and paid emails. Two of my favorite websites to use are InboxDollars and SendingEarnings. Although my favorite out of the two is InboxDollars because you not only get paid for reading emails, completing surveys, but also for playing games, shopping and referring friends. However, this is only a way to earn some small change to help you purchase a coffee or sandwich as a treat when you are out and about doing things.

For a list of more websites that can help you earn from reading paid emails and taking surveys visit Green Mails.

Making Money by Selling Books and Clothing

Two other effective ways I find that helps me earn, extra money in a pinch is selling books on Half.com and clothing on Ebay.com. Although, in order to make quick cash the price on the books and clothing have to be excellent and affordable for buyers and the items you are selling have to be in pretty good condition. However, I do not sell books and cloths as often, but the method does work well. Possibly opening an online store could be something to look into if you are a good sales person.

Bottom Line for Earning Money Online

Earning an income online is possible, but you have to be willing to work hard and create a structure that keeps you earning an income. Slacking off while work at home will not get you anywhere besides broke. Remember, earning money online takes time and a lot of patience, but it can happen. Just figure out what online job works best for you and stick with it. Do not give up. Giving up wont prove anything to you. If you don’t earn tons of money in the first six months or year, do not get discouraged. Just keep going with it. Things will come together in time.
