Finding Your Calling in Life

I've had many jobs in life. All which I've always been great at. However, I didn't enjoy the jobs I did. The reason why is because those jobs weren't meant for me.

I always had a gut feeling and just knew in my heart that my job and purpose in life was helping others with the gifts God blessed me with. People always told me, " Money flows into your life when you do what you love." And, that sure is the truth in my case.

Before I found where I belonged in the working field, I had worked at many places. I worked in the pharmacy business for many years as a pharmacy technician. I quit that job because it was stressful and was not supporting my dreams and goals in life. The income was great, but not worth the bad days. It wasn't the people who came into get there prescriptions, but it was the people  I was working for who treated employees badly. So, I packed up and left.

My next job I worked in was a retail store making sales and helping customers find clothing that fit them and made them feel good. At least, that was more meaningful to do. I even organized clothing that people would toss on the floor or had place back onto a different wrack. I began seeing how disrespectful people were. This annoyed me to the point where I was like,"I don't want a job where I'm picking up after people! I wanted a job that is helping people make a difference in their own lives. Off I went again looking for a different job that was more suited for me.

The jobs I worked in after that were horrible too. I started working in pizza places. The management was horrible. The boss was cruel and abusive. He had this side to him that was perverted. The people who owned these pizza places were horrible. They would through knives across the room. soap at each other and spit on food.  They had no respect for customers and the food they ate. I felt like every time I worked I was selling poison to people because I knew the cooks who made the food did bad things to it. I would tell the cooks it was unsafe to see spoiled food. They never listened and always ignored me. I mean everything in these places were a mess. So again, I got out and moved on in search of the next best job.

The next thing I turned to was candle making. This didn't work out for me either. You really have to have a talent for that. Its tricky and hard. Selling candles was just not for me so I gave up on that.

Then I tried online jobs such as paid surveys and assembling crafts. I found out most of them were scams. However, I did find some that did work, but none of them made me enough income to support myself.

Finally, after many years of struggling with where I didn't belong, I found where I did. I enjoyed painting. I started painting and selling my paintings online and earning money doing what i loved to do. Shortly after, cash was flowing in a bit.

Then I started selling Avon along with paintings on the side. Still wasn't enough to live, but it was enough to pay some bills. I know I needed something else but wasn't sure what.

Then I started on Ebay and earning money from there. Now all my bills where getting paid, but I still need money to eat and spend for fun. So I decide to look up way of making money writing. I was always told I was great at writing, but never really put my talent to use until now. So far so good.

I figured out I belonged doing many little things I was good at and loved instead. I even learned the little things I was doing was making the people around me happy. I finally felt like I was helping others and making a difference in other peoples lives.

So if your struggling with finding your perfect place in the work field my advice would be follow your gut and do what you love doing. Never give up what you love. What you love doing brings in money, but you do need to figure out how to use your gifts to bring in that income. Once you figure how to bring in money doing what you love, you will always have a job that makes you happy and that makes a difference in the lives around you.
