One of my own favorite homemade glass cleaner recipes I like to make for cleaning my windows is my Lavender Mint Glass Cleaner. It is very safe for my home and the environment and it helps clean my windows naturally without leaving any streaks or smudges behind.
Ingredients & Materials
The ingredients you will need to make my the cleaner are 1 cup of vinegar, ½ cup of water, 10 drops of lavender oil, and 5 drops of peppermint oil. Then you will need on empty spray bottle. If you do not have these ingredients at home you can find them at your local health food and grocery store for less than $10.
Creating the Cleaner
The way you make the lavender mint glass cleaner is very simple. All you do is take your empty spray bottle and pour into it 1 cup of vinegar and the ½ cup of water. After place 10 drops of the lavender oil and 5 drops of peppermint oil directly into the bottle and close the bottle up and give it a quick gentle shake to mix the ingredients and essential oils together. After you will have a lavender mint glass cleaner to use all around your home.
Using the Cleaner
The way you would use the homemade lavender mint glass cleaner on your windows is just like you would a regular glass cleaner. All you do is spray down your window with the cleaner, take a paper towel or cotton cloth and wipe down your windows with it. You should notice after using the product that the windows are clean and streak free with a hint of a lavender mint scent that is very soothing and calming. You can also use this homemade window cleaner on mirrors, glass tables, and other glass surfaces in your home that need some cleaning.
I know I like to use it for cleaning the windows in my car. It also works great for cleaning tile floors and bathroom sinks and toilets. I know I have even used this homemade glass cleaner for wiping down my stove top and toaster oven because it cuts through grease and sticky spots nicely.
