Poem: The Prayer Came True

Frozen I was, gazing into you.
Hands were trembling…
I came unglued.
Head to toe was tingling.
And, I knew.

I would welcome you in.
And, I would make you my friend.
However, I knew in the end.
We would be more than just friends.

Butterflies filled me, as you touched me.
Your warmth had no ending.
I began melting.
You warmed the coldest parts of me.
And, I knew.

I would welcome you in.
And, I would make you my friend.
But I knew in the end.
We would be more than just friends.

Now, counting my blessings, when I wake up next to you.
It is not a dream come true,
It is a pray answered for you and me.
And, every time I look at you,
I thank the one who brought me to you.
