Sausage with Onions & Peppers



If you love sausages, onions and peppers you will love this recipe. I love recipes that are simple and quick and this one is defiantly that. If you love spicy foods you must create this dish. 

Ingredients 1

1 Package of Hot Italian Sausage Links 
1 Green Bell Pepper 
1 Red Bell Pepper 
1 Yellow Bell Pepper 
1 Yellow Onion 
1 Cup of Worcestershire Sauce 
Garlic Salt 
Butter 
Vegetable Oil 


Directions 

Start by cutting up your onions and peppers once they are all cut up place them in a frying pan. Make sure you put a little vegetable oil and three tablespoons of butter in with the onions and peppers. 

Once they are in pan I like to sprinkle garlic salt onto the veggies. You can use as little or as much seasoning as you like. Then place half a cup of Worcestershire sauce in frying pan. Cook them on medium heat, but make sure you place a cover over them. Keep an eye on this dish as it cooks because the liquid will dry up and you will have to place more Worcestershire sauce or butter into it to prevent it from burning and drying out. 

The onions will take about 20 minutes to sauté. While they are cooking place sausages on the grill and cook them how you would regularly cook them. If you do not have a grill you can cook them onto of the stove in frying pan. First place sausages in pan then fill the pan with water so that the sausages are about half way covered with water. 

Then place on stove top burner on medium heat with a lid covering the pan. Once the water is almost gone cut the sausages down the middle to open them a little bit and finish cooking. Cooking the sausage on the stove will take about 20-minutes. Once everything is done cooking, cut up the sausages into bite sized pieces. 

Then place the onions and peppers over the top of the sausages. If you don't like it like this you can always place your sausage in a roll then add onions and peppers to it. You decide which way you like best.
