Chocolate covered strawberries are my favorite treat. They are very simple to make and are wonderful to serve up to a love one for a romantic evening treat or to the family as a fun delicious dessert.
Ingredients
Freshly Picked Strawberries
Semi-Sweet or Dark Chocolate Chips
Materials
Wax Paper
Cookie Sheet
Bowl
Spoon
Microwave Safe Dish
Directions
Melt about two cups of chocolate chips in a microwave safe dish in the microwave on low heat for about 60 seconds or less. Keep an eye on the chocolate chips because they burn easily. As soon as you see the chocolate chips, melting you can remove the bowl of them from the microwave and give them a good stir. You can pop them back into the microwave for a few seconds to melt them down a little bit more if you have too.
Dip the strawberries in the melted chocolate until they are coated, but do not coat the leafy tops. Next, place the chocolate covered strawberries onto a waxed paper lined cookie sheet. After, freeze the strawberries for 10-minutes until the chocolate becomes hardened.
Remove the chocolate covered strawberries from the wax paper covered cookie sheet and place them into a bowl. Serve these delicious treats up to your love one or family members and friends to enjoy.
