Slow Cooked Maple & Brown Sugar Beans & Hot Dogs




We love beans and dogs for a quick simple super. I love making them in the slow cooker with maple syrup, brown sugar and sweet yellow onions. It is one of my favorite go to meals because all I have to do is toss some ingredients into the slow cooker and leave it too slowly cook. By mealtime, the dish is ready to serve up with a side of bread and butter. 

Ingredients

  • Four to Eight Hot Dogs (Depends on how many people your feeding.)
  • Three to Six Large Cans of Baked Beans
  • Half Cup of Brown Sugar
  • Forth Cup of Maple Syrup
  • One Cup of Frozen Already Chopped Up Onions
  • Salt & Black Pepper

Directions 

  1. Chop up the hot dogs into bite-sized pieces of leave them as they are and toss them into the slow cooker. 
  2. Add in the cans of baked beans, sugar, maple syrup and onions. 
  3. Sprinkle in a half teaspoon of salt and a forth teaspoon of black pepper. 
  4. Combined the ingredients together with a mixing spoon. 
  5. Place the lid on the slow cooker pot and turn it on low heat. 
  6. Allow the beans & dogs to cook for 4 to 6 hours. 
  7. Serve the beans & dogs up as a tasty quick meal with a side of bread and butter or corn bread.
