We love beans and dogs for a quick simple super. I love making them in the slow cooker with maple syrup, brown sugar and sweet yellow onions. It is one of my favorite go to meals because all I have to do is toss some ingredients into the slow cooker and leave it too slowly cook. By mealtime, the dish is ready to serve up with a side of bread and butter.
Ingredients
- Four to Eight Hot Dogs (Depends on how many people your feeding.)
- Three to Six Large Cans of Baked Beans
- Half Cup of Brown Sugar
- Forth Cup of Maple Syrup
- One Cup of Frozen Already Chopped Up Onions
- Salt & Black Pepper
Directions
- Chop up the hot dogs into bite-sized pieces of leave them as they are and toss them into the slow cooker.
- Add in the cans of baked beans, sugar, maple syrup and onions.
- Sprinkle in a half teaspoon of salt and a forth teaspoon of black pepper.
- Combined the ingredients together with a mixing spoon.
- Place the lid on the slow cooker pot and turn it on low heat.
- Allow the beans & dogs to cook for 4 to 6 hours.
- Serve the beans & dogs up as a tasty quick meal with a side of bread and butter or corn bread.
