Spicy Stuffed Sausage & Cheesy Shells

For the pasta Italian lovers out there this is a great dish for you to try! This is a great spin on your original stuffed shells. This recipe will add some kaboom to your classic dish and it taste amazing. It will become your new favorite pasta dish!

Ingredients

1 Box of Jumbo Shells
1 Package of Spicy Italian Sausage
1 Package of Frozen Spinach
1 Container of Ricotta Cheese
1 Jar of any kind of Pasta Sauce you like
1 Bag of Sharp Shredded Cheese

Directions

1. First you want to boil your water for the jumbo shells. Once your water is boiled place your shells in the pot and cook until tender.

2. While your shells are boiling take the sausage and take them out of the sausage casing. I usually take a knife and at one of the ends I poke the knife through and cut all the way down. Once the sausage is out of the casing just pull it apart and place the sausage into a frying pan. After, just cook it in the pan like you would ground hamburger.

3. Now, while the pasta and sausage are cooking, I would place your frozen spinach in the microwave as the directions say.

Helpful Tip: Make sure you squeeze out extra water from spinach before mixing it in the bowl

4. Once everything is done cooking, get a big bowl and put your ricotta cheese, sausage and spinach into it and mix it all together well. There is an example below.

5. Now that everything is mixed, get your jumbo shells and start filling them with the mixture. Once you shells are filled sprinkle cheese on top of  them and place them into the oven at 350-degrees for 35 minutes. Once they are all done cooking put some pasta sauce on them and enjoy!
