Healthy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Nut Cookies

Everyone loves cookies, but they are not exactly figure friendly unless you make the figure friendly kind. Surprisingly, there are some figure friendly cookies to make such as the dark chocolate chip walnut oatmeal cookies. They contain heart healthy ingredients such as oats and dark chocolate and they provide the body with some much needed fiber and healthy fats from the nuts and oats.

Ingredients  Needed

3/8 Cup of Raw Organic Butter
¾ Cup of Dark Brown Sugar
2/3 Cup of Whole Wheat Flour
Teaspoon of Baking Soda
1 5/8 Cup of Rolled Oats
1 Large Farm Fresh Egg
2 Teaspoons of Pure Vanilla Extract
5/8 Cup of Chopped Walnuts
2 Cups of Dark Chocolate Chips

Instructions

1. Place butter, sugar, egg and vanilla into a mixing bowl and cream together using a mixer. This takes about a minute.

2. Add in the flour, baking soda and oats and mix in with the creamy butter mixture using the mixer again until you get oatmeal cookie dough.

3. Add in the walnuts and chocolate chips and combine these ingredients into the dough using a mixing spoon or spatula.

4. Refrigerate the cookie dough for about an hour.

5. Take tablespoons of the cookie dough and place them onto cookie sheets 2-inches apart. Then, bake the cookies in the oven at 375 degree for about 8 to 10-minutes or until golden brown.

6. Remove the baked cookies from the cookie sheet using a spatula and transfer them onto a cooling wrack. Allow them to cool for about 30-minutes.

7. Eat the healthy cookies up warm as a simple treat or store them away in a container until you are ready to have one for a snack.

Tip!

Remember, eating more than needed of anything can be unhealthy even if it is healthy!
