Homemade Heavy Duty Hand Scrub for Men

Most men do heavy-duty dirty jobs in the workplace, at home or while working on hobby projects. During these dirty tasks, their hands are easily filled with dirt, greases, grimes, oils and paints even. Then they head to the kitchen or bathroom sink in hopes that good old fashion bar of soap will help get their hands squeaky clean again, but that is so far from the truth. What men really need to get their big grubby hands clean again is a good homemade heavy-duty hand scrub, which is what I make my loving man use and he loves it. Best of all making up a batch of this scrub is super easy and it makes a good homemade gift for men. I know I sometimes put a jar of the homemade hand scrub in Christmas stockings as a stocking stuffer and it works out great.

Necessary Ingredients for the Homemade Heavy Duty Hand Scrub

The ingredients I love using to make my man's homemade heavy duty hand scrub are a cup of French clay powder, half cup of ground apricot kernels, forth cups of coarse sea salt, cup of brown sugar, cup of baking soda, forth cup of almond oil and about a cup and a half of liquid citrus castile soap. The reason I blend and use these ingredients together to create a hand scrub is that they absorb heavy greases and oils from the skin well while scrubbing away heavy dirt, stuck on paint and other gunk from their hands. In addition, the ingredients help pamper their hands too so they are silky soft and smooth instead of rough and dry.

Creating the Heavy Duty Hand Scrub

When I make the heavy-duty hand scrub for men, I place all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and combine them together with a wire whisk. I find using the whisk helps blend the ingredients together well. Once all the ingredients are blended together well you end up with this greenish thick foamy gritty hand scrub that will bubble up and lather on wet dirty hands. The scrub will also have a lovely citrus scent to it that most men find manly and uplifting. However, sometimes I find I am adjusting the amount of liquid or dry ingredients I use to make the scrub so you may have to do the same.

For example, if you find the scrub is too stiff and thick add in more castile soap until you achieve the texture your wish the scrub too have. If you find the scrub to runny just add in more clay powder, sugars, or salts to help thicken it up. Play around with this scrub recipe and adjust it too your liking. You can even switch the castile soap to a different scented one if you prefer such as pine or basil. I just prefer using the citrus castile soap in mine because I get the most compliments when I use that scent in the scrub.

Once the scrub is to your liking, get out some wide mouth jars and scoop the scrub into them, put the lids on the jars and place the scrubs near the sinks in the home or work place. If you are going to give them as gifts, wrap the jars up in fabrics and tie a bow around them to make them decorative, or simply tie a bow around the lid par of the jars instead. It is all up to you.

Using the Hand Scrub Properly

Now, to use the heavy duty hand scrub, simply rinse you are hands with plenty of good hot touchable water to loosen up the entire gunk on the hands and skin. After, take a good handful of the thick greenish hand scrub and rub it into the hands well for a good three to five minutes while grabbing more scrub in between if you need too. Next, rinse your hands down with warm water and repeat the processes until you feel your hands are squeaky clean. My boyfriend typically uses the scrub ones for mildly dirty hands and twice for heavily greasy dirt hands. After, pat your hands dry on a cotton cloth and apply some hand cream for men to help keep those mitts soft for your loving partner.

End Lines

The next time the men in the household cannot get the dirt and grim off their hands, make up a batch of the heavy-duty hand scrub and give it too them to use. They will thank you afterwards for making it and making them use it to get their hands squeaky clean.
