Yarrow for Cleansing Wounds

The best natural way to treat and cleanse shallow cuts and scrapes is with yarrow tea wound cleanser. Yarrow is a perennial herb that has white flowers and a weedy appearance. The herb works as a natural antiseptic and astringent, which is why it works effectively for cleansing shallow cuts and scrapes well.

Ingredients Needed

The ingredients you will need to make the wound cleanser are 3 tablespoons of dried yarrow leaves and 4 cups of boiling water. You can find yarrow leaves at local herbal shops, if you do not have it on hand.

Creating the Cleanser

The best way to make a yarrow tea to use for cleansing shallow cuts and scrapes is by boiling water on top of a stove and placing dried yarrow leaves into a teapot. Once the water is boiled, simply pour it over the yarrow tea leaves and allow the tea to steep for 20 minutes. After, simply wait until you have a golden colored tea and it has cooled down a bit. After, you can remove the tea leaves from the water. Then, you will have a nice yarrow tea wound cleanser for cleaning shallow cuts and scrapes naturally.

Cleansing

The way you use the yarrow tea wound cleanser is by gently pouring it over the shallow cuts and scrapes and gently patting the wound clean with a clean dry cotton towel. This will help rinse all the dirt and germs right out of the wound so it doesn't become infected and can actually heal up properly.

However, you do not want to use this yarrow tea wound cleanser for deep wounds. Deep wounds need to be looked at by a professional doctor because you do not want to risk getting a serious infection. Deep wounds may also need proper treatment such as stitches.

End Notes

I hope this helps some of you out there cleanse a wound naturally and safely. I wish you all the best with getting those wounds all healed up nicely.
