Poem: The Way Life Rolls

You may feel like you don’t belong,
Might believe you shouldn’t be.
You may think all has gone wrong.
But you’re here so it’s meant to be.

And you may hate where you’re coming from,
But that’s the past so leave it dear.
You may feel like the world owes you sum,
But if you live like that, it will owe you none.

Life is like a beating drum,
It beats high and it beats low.
You may hate the way things go.
But that’s the way life likes to flow.

You can feel the way you feel.
But days are wasted when you’re wasted.
You may think your heart can’t heal.
Feel like all the pain is pasted.

And you may think you were dealt a bad deal,
But let’s just face it,
Your blinded and can’t see what’s real.
Life has wit, but you can’t deal.

Life is like a beating drum,
It beats high and it beats low.
You may hate the way things go.
But that’s the way life likes to flow.

You may think you know it all.
But in this life there are always things that we don’t know.
Life is like a bouncing ball.
You just don’t know where it all will fall.

You may feel like you always crawl.
But, that’s where we got to start to grow real tall.
But all good things start real small.
So you can hate it all right now.
But in the end you’ll be shown.

Life is like a beating drum,
It beats high and it beats low.
You may hate the way things go.
But that’s the way life likes to flow.
All you can do is go the way life rolls.
