This condition can be due to several factors like pH imbalance, poor personal hygiene, hormonal changes, low probiotic count, menopausal period, and high levels of blood sugar or due to the wearing of damp or wet undergarments. Probiotics: This is another great cure for yeast infection. Probiotics naturally exist within the intestines as well as the vaginal area, and is responsible for maintaining the balance between organisms. In case there is yeast infection, foods containing probiotics should be included in meals in order to cure the condition.

Yogurt: Since yogurt is also rich in probiotics, this too should be included in the diet to treat yeast infection. Aside from consuming yogurt, you can also apply it directly on the affected area and leave it there for at least 30 to 45 minutes before washing it off. You can also use a tampon, dip it into yogurt and insert it to your vagina for better results. However, make sure that you opt for the unsweetened variety, as sweetened yogurt can only aggravate the condition.

Garlic Cloves: Garlic contains natural antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-fungal properties, which are all helpful against yeast infection. Although it is a stinky option, it is considered as one of the best cure against the condition. Garlic can be inserted into the vagina but make sure that it is wrapped in cheese cloth for easier removal. You can also make a paste out of it and apply it on the vaginal area to kill the fungus and cure the infection.
