Best Scratch Pads for Cats

Now I know most of you kitty owners hate it when your kitty scratches the furniture to help maintain their precious claws. I know I do! So the best thing to get them would be a scratch pad. Scratch pads are great because you can stuff them with catnip and cats are just naturally attracted to them when they feel like scratching something instead of your couch and other fabric covered furniture. If you do not know where to find some great scratch pads for your cat or kitten I will tell you where you can find some and what the best scratch pads are to get.

The first scratch box I am going to tell you about is my kitten's favorite one and it is the Fat Cat Big Mama's Scratchy Box. It is made out of cardboard material and is about 18 inches wide and 10 inches in length and will lay flat on your floor. It has little yarn tassels at the end of every corner of the box and you are given a bag of natural catnip along with this box to pour into it so your cat is naturally attracted to scratching the heck out of the scratch pad instead of your furniture. My kittens really love the yarn things in each of the corners of the scratch box and he really loves scratching his box to death. The Fat Cat Big Mama's Scratchy Box cost around $9.

The next best scratch pad to get for your cat or kitten is the Whisker City Corrugated Cat Scratcher. This scratch pad is made out of heavy cardboard material for those serious cat and kitten scratchers, and comes with a bag of natural catnip to pour inside the scratch pad. This scratch pad is about 4 inches wide, 2 inches deep and 18 inches long. You can easily lay this one on the floor near your couch or fabric covered furniture so your cat or kitten will be tempted to scratch that instead. The Whisker City Corrugated Cat Scratcher cost around $7.

Now the last best cat and kitten scratch pad that is really cool for cats to scratch is the Cosmic Cardboard Scratcher with Catnip. This scratch pad is built on a slant so those kitties who like to scratch things while standing up will be tempted to scratch this pad instead of your furniture. It is also made from tough cardboard and also comes with a bag of catnip to fill the scratch pad up with so your kitties will be attracted to I it. Now the Cosmic Cardboard Scratcher with Catnip is about 20 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 10 inches high on a slant. Best of all this scratch pad is reversible which means when one side of the scratch pad is all scratched up you can flip it over and use the other side, and there is a little black hole built into this scratch pad that contains a little mouse toy your kitties will just love.

You can find all of these scratch pads for cats and kittens at Walmart, Petco, Petsmart, and most of your local pet stores. I hope this little bit of information helps get your cats and kittens to stop scratching the heck out of your fabric furniture. I know it worked well for my kittens.
