Strawberry Peach Crisp

We all love apple crisp in this house, but we also like strawberry peach crisp as well. It pairs perfectly with some vanilla bean ice cream and is a yummy treat for the summertime.

First Step: Strawberry Peach Mixture

Ingredients for Strawberry Peach Mixture

4 Cups of Fresh or Frozen Sliced Peaches
1 Cup of Fresh or Frozen Sliced Strawberries
2 Tablespoons of Sugar
4 Tablespoons of All Purposes Flour

Combine the Strawberry Peach ingredients together well in a mixing bowl using a spoon. Then, pour them into a well greased with butter casserole dish.

Second Step: Crumble Topping

Ingredients for Crumble Topping

½ Cup of Flour
1 Cup of Brown Sugar
1 Cup of Rolled Oats
5 Tablespoons of Melted Butter or 3 Tablespoons of Melted Margarine
Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

Combine the flour, brown sugar, rolled oats, melted butter or margarine and vanilla extract in a bowl using a fork until you get a damp crumbly mixture. You can even use your hands if you want. You can tell if the mixture is the right texture for the crisp if you can clump it together in your hands like wet sand. The crumble topping should not be overly greasy or liquid like at all in appearance or texture.

Once the crumble topping is just right, sprinkle it on top of the strawberry peach mixture you have evenly spread out in your casserole dish.

Third Step: Baking

Bake the Strawberry Peach Crisp in the oven at 350 degrees for thirty-minutes. After, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool on the counter top for thirty-minutes before serving it up with vanilla ice cream.
